スペイサイドのシングルモルト数種とローランドのシングルグレーンウイスキー1種をブレンドしたもので、最短の熟成年数原酒が28年で、それよりも長期熟成した原酒が使われている、最高級ブレンドスコッチの1本。アイル・オブ・ラッセイ蒸留所とローランドのボーダ―蒸留所を操業した R & A 社がブレンダーとして販売した高級スコッチです。
The Tweeddale: The Evolution is our oldest Tweeddale whisky to date.
A blend of classic Speyside single malts(スペイサイドのシングルモルト) and a Lowland single grain(ローランドのシングルグレーン1種類), with the youngest component whisky being 28 years old.
The original Tweeddale Whisky was produced in Coldstream in 1820 by J&A Davidson, and later continued by Alasdair’s great-grandfather Richard Day from 1899 until World War II.
In 2009, Alasdair inherited his great-grandfather’s cellar book, and began re-creating The Tweeddale Whisky, with a focus on small batch aged blends and historic single casks.
From studying Richard Day’s cellar book, we believe that a complex expression like this embodies the vision and craftsmanship of the venerable Borders blender.
